Details:

Instead of the hook there will simply be a small lip for cup holder to grab onto backside console. That type of console does not need the lid removed during install.

If the hook cracks at any point don't stress. The hook is not very strong and really there just to help you it hold in place during install.

Slide the cup holder into of hinge opening. Those with the tray on top will need to send me a message letting know that they have rare console. Then install the 3rd screw and make sure all 3 are snug.

Make sure the console is clean before you bond adhesive to it. Pre-drill a small hole before you thread in the screws. It does add strength to the attachment but not a ton.

Now you can push down on the cup holder to bond it console. It will bump right up against the hinge and help keep centered while doing install. The lower storage tray can hold sun glasses are whatever else you fit in there. You don't want that adhesive to bond onto the console yet.

This can be a little tricky so take your time. The hinge is connected at outer ends and open down middle. Once the hinge is lined up, then remove red backing off strips of adhesive before you screw anything down.

Finally install four CARE brass colored screws in the countersunk holes. Any dirt dust grease will weaken the bond. Install the screws manually with a screwdriver and not drill. You can easily strip out the threads if use a drill.

This is made of abs plastic through the use a 3d printer. Don't over tighten those because the factory inserts you are threading into just thin metal. Thread in the 2nd screw then slide cup holder into opposite direction covering you just installed. The adhesive and screws are more than adequate at holding it in place for many years without issue.

The hinge is in way. This is a rear double cup holder for Toyota Landcruiser aka: fj80, 80 series, fzj80, hdj81, etc.

This will pull the cup holder nice and snug to console help bond adhesive. For those with the padded top use directions following. Please understand the main attachment method is adhesive and screws. Push with medium force and hold it for about 20 seconds.
